Today, a Savior has been born to us! He is the Holy Infant, Emmanuel! He is the Baby Boy who lights up the darkness that is surrounding the world today!
The mere presence of any baby can light up the faces of anyone gazing at him or her simply because our hearts are moved at the sight of such beauty and innocence! Each of us have in ourselves that ability to love heroically and when we see little babies, we come into contact with this ability and we just feel like showering our love on that baby with cuddles, kisses, throws into the air and catches(for all my fellow men) and some of you have even been tempted to even bite these little babies cheeks!
Just imagine how it must have been when Joseph and Mary first encountered the Baby Boy in that little manger all forlorn. By this point of time, they had done their fair share of travelling and experiencing rejection from inn owners. After settling down in a little manger, the time has come for Mary to give birth to the Baby Boy, Jesus! All the darkness in the pains and toils of travelling and finding a place to rest are suddenly dispelled as they hold the Baby Boy, the Light of the World in their arms! It was all worth it.
A quick fun fact: Mama Mary experienced no labor pain at all because she was conceived without original sin!
Today, we face a lot of fears, pains, suffering, rejections amidst the Coronavirus Pandemic but there is good news! That very same Baby Boy that lit the manger and the whole wide world 2000 years ago, wants to enter into our hearts and light up the darkness of doubt, fear, anxiety, and suffering! Jesus, the Baby Boy is no ordinary baby that merely moves our hearts to love, He is the Savior of the World who transforms our hearts, minds and souls as He fills us with His life-changing love, peace, hope and joy!
This, this.. is Christ, the Baby Boy who has come into the world! You and I will never be the same again for the Baby Boy that is born in our hearts is going to grow as long as we continue our spiritual walk. May this joy of receiving Jesus be so contagious that we, Christians rise up and spread His good news to the ends of the world way faster than Coronavirus is spreading worldwide.
